Wanting to gift a couple of US Flags this Christmas. Requirements are: 100% Made in U.S.A, Cotton. Have been looking at Valley Forge, American Legion, and Carrot Top (weird name for flag company, I thought) offerings and they all seem pretty nice. Choosing cotton construction for traditional look in Government spec sizing for correct proportion. They will be displayed (hopefully) indoors as neither of the recipients has a pole. Likely getting a ten footer and a 4 footer for one friend's garage/mancave and another's new 4 bay shop/garage. Anyone have any experience with buying Cotton Flags or have a good source that Google may not be showing me?
I always get them from friends/family in service. They take old ones and train boy scouts and jrRotc etc proper retirement ceremony.
I have zeroed in on a particular supplier. Annin Flags. Family owned, been at it since 1847. Their Flag was used at the inauguration ceremonies of Abraham Lincoln. It was also used to cover his casket, and was the Brand that was raised on Mt Suribachi. Best of all, they have a plant about 30 miles from me, which means I not only get to buy 100% USA made, but also Made in Ohio, which is just icing on the cake.
