I was cutting some very healthy 20" red oak this afternoon and could not tell much of a difference between my 562xp and my 372xp. Where is the noticeable difference at?

What size bars on each? I don't own either but I'd assume the "break even" point would be right around that 20" wood/bar size? I'm just spit balling here.

Crazy thing is my 562xp had a semi chisel chain and the 372xp had a sharp full chisel.

Get some vids of cutting with each saw. I bet you'll be surprised at the times.

I am sure they are close under 20". But slap a 28" on that 372 and watch it shine:)

To run a fare comparison you need to use the same chain

Also, any chance your 372 is running a bit rich and lacking a bit of power? Cheers!

Not bad - probably not enough to make a big difference in cut time. Cheers!

Is the saw 100% stock? Or does it have any work done, like a Muff mod?

Hey Dex - assuming a muffler mod, would rpm be re-tuned to max recommended setting (e.g. 13.5K for the 372)? I muff modded my 51 and then retuned to 12.5K - I assumed that I needed to retune to the correct max rpm - is this correct? Cheers!

Most stock 372s run strong at 13.4-13.8k. The limited coil won't let you tune that high but they run nice there. The last one I had here wanted to turn 15.5k

I sold the 372 after running a 562 for a year. Both 20" bars, I have no need for longer. 562 is very impressive for it's size/weight!
