Stihl dealer just to the north of me. He stocks rolls of chain and will put together whatever loop you need.

The last few I've bought on ebay good price and free shipping. If I need it right now the Stihl dealer but when I go there seems I always come home with more than a chain.

I used to buy from the Stihl dealer, but like Oregon better, so order from Bailey's or similar place.

Neither of the close to me Stihl dealers sell Stihl chain, one sells Carlton and the other Oregon, they tell me nobody will pay for Stihl chain.

Mostly local dealer. "Buy two, get one free" usually lasts me for several years.
After that, I'm not sure. I would like to hear about any other options for chains my local dealer doesn't carry (like square chisel).

Local Stihl dealer. 3 loops for the price of 2. Will order square file if you ask for same price. Very reasonable.

Off my wall or in one of the half dozen boxes on the floor. Have 7 rolls of various descriptions here as well.

Liking to see how many are supporting their local dealers. I do everything in my power to support local dealers. In the end, it pays off for me, since I tend to get myself in trouble with my saws and small engines with alarming regularity, and he takes VERY GOOD care of me, even when I admit to being a "dumb yuppie." I just get out of his way, and everything seems to work out O.K.

I agree, but my local dealer is one hour away and doesn't stock Oregon chain. I have spent good money there.

Glad to see this thread. I need a few of 25's and will probably buy a 32" bar with a couple chains at the same time. Like the dealer here so I'll pay a little more if need be.

Usually, local chainsaw dealer. But today I bought one at Lowes because they were closed. I wanted a back-up for the new saw. Only had two chains so far and first one was getting dull. So this is number three for this saw.

I've bought my chains recently on eBay - some good deals when buying 4 or more chains - I think I got a deal recently on 20" Oregon lgx for what turned out to be a hair less than $17/chain - I like Oregon chain and this saved me about $15 verses my local saw shop. Cheers!
