Anyone have any recent experiences with propane prices in your areas? I'll need to fill the tank for my "backup" furnace some time before fall, and was wondering when to time my purchase. I was thinking about now might be the best price?

I also need to fill up. Talked with my propane guy two weeks ago and it was $1.99/gal right now. He thought it may still trend down just a bit more, so I'm going to wait until July to order.

It ranged between 4 - 6 bucks a few months ago if you could even get it.

We're $2.23 a gallon here in Ontario right now. We were up to $4.52 during the winter. Don't think we are going to get much lower here.

Middle East acting up again. Most fuels will be impacted by this. Get it before it all goes sky high in the futures market.

Just be careful waiting, as summer turns to fall the price goes up. Especially if its needed to dry the corn harvest.

$1.99. Our prices usually run a little higher here.

Got 150 gallons yesterday. Not too bad. Should have enough to last about a year.

I know we are talking about propane, but I will kick in that I had to order oil. The reg. oil Co. wants $352/gal with my military/ senior discount. I called around and found $332 with my same discount. Only buy $100 gallons. That is the min. you can order. Tank gauge is on the bottom red line. Only using it for the hot water now.

In my part of the U.P. it's going for 1.55 gal. That's great after the fleecing we had during the gouging season!
Picked up a refill tank for the gas grill and paid $17 at a gas station; the station across the street was at $24...

Save, no need to "call around." I've found my best prices on this website.. Might even be able to talk them down a bit from what is posted with a vet's discount. http://www.maineoil.com/zone2.asp?type=0 Oh yeah, and $100 gallons? That must be some good stuff!!

Mine is being delivered today. My propane guy called me yesterday and tells me that he is going to lower the price from $1.84 to $1.69. He said the last shipment he just got in was lower than expected.

How's that for good customer loyalty. He didn't need to do that or tell me his price dropped, but he did. Not too often you deal with honorable people these days.
