This is wood delivered last spring I’m thinking mostly oak. Am I correct, wrong or to difficult to tell?
The numbers are moisture readings at the ends on the day I stacked it. I can see the difference during the seasoning period then when I burn I’ll split and take a reading on the pieces with the numbers. That must sound a little crazy even with you guys.
Thats the way. A moisture reading from the end is .........well.........kinda mis-information. Nice stacks.
Looks like red oak to me. Usually fairly heavy too. Documenting drying time can sometimes save years of cause and effect observation.
Welcome Wolves1 , that some fine looking Oak. You're not crazy here. We are all normal, just ask our wives.
