What type of wood

    This is wood delivered last spring I’m thinking mostly oak. Am I correct, wrong or to difficult to tell?

    The numbers are moisture readings at the ends on the day I stacked it. I can see the difference during the seasoning period then when I burn I’ll split and take a reading on the pieces with the numbers. That must sound a little crazy even with you guys.:loco: :crazy::whistle:

    A moisture reading from the end is .........well.........kinda mis-information.

    Looks like red oak to me. Usually fairly heavy too.

    Documenting drying time can sometimes save years of cause and effect observation.
