So after some good burning the past two nights only have active fire on the left side of the box. There is a 70 degree difference from the right side to the left side top and clearly the air wash isn't working on the right side. The normal pattern is on the left.

Not that I ever noticed a temperature difference but my IS is similar, it burns more on the right side than the left.

We are long time wood burners but now we have our first glass front stoves. I am wondering about the airwash as well as airflow inside the stove. I'd like join in on the answers you see here if you don't mind:)

I would check the door gasket first with the dollar bill test

First check your gaskets and be sure they are tight.

I am assuming your burning dry wood?

Check the flue and be sure the chimney isn't blocked as well. Your chimney can get anything including birds in it.... That will slow the draft and your air wash won't work as good either.

I like to brush my tubes off from time to time as well. I discovered they can get dirty and block air as well. I loaded it right to the grills the other night and noticed they where dirty again. After cleaned out a few holes she was roaring again. It can happen from simply bumping the tube when loading. That made my stove burn oddly like that.
