    What on earth happened to this tree?

    We had a horrible 2006 with caterpillars, I'm not sure if they were the same but they ate all our leaves off the trees and you couldn't take a walk through the woods without being covered with them.

    Interesting. Seems the host plant is euonymus, which is deemed an invasive species.

    The ones we had here a few years back, we called them Tent Worms. Dish soap in a garden sprayer killed millions of them, that and one of the kids "super soaker".

    Certainly a lot like the tent caterpillars but never seen anything quite that numerous.

    Back in 2006 here on our house property, you would've needed to burn the woods down. There were so many it was like the forest floor was moving when they started coming out, it was gross.
