Still learning, and finding out people would like many different sizes of cuts. In your experience, what is the most common cut? thanks

for woodstoves, I would say 16 inch as a cord is 4 x 4 x 8 the 16 goes into 4 foot easily and it's about the right weight.

16 is my fav-- that way if I'm off a little it still fits fine.

I cut all ours in the 20" area. Both the FPI and the little back-up box stove will take a 24" split.

When people cut their own the most common length will be what fits in their particular stove. If you are cutting to sell, 16" would be the lowest common length.

16" to 18" seems to work best for me. If I go longer I have to sort for customers which takes too handling much time.

    My stove likes 17"
    I have a 16" & 17" size "length jigs" made up
For my wood 17" one uses an earth magnet for fast on & off, I mark 17" then cut.
