Saw this pic on 'outdoors with the morgans' page. Do you think this is gravel or lime or pesticide or what is it under the stack? If it's not pesticide, I wonder if one could treat an area under a large stack like this for preventing termites from setting up camp. Just curious, we have lots of termites. I haven't really noticed a problem with them, however, in stacked wood. It's mostly when you have wood on the ground, like rounds. They sure get them!
Could be diatomaceous earth which is used as a natural pesticide. I've sprinkled around some of my wood pallets in the past, dang termites
