I am about as giddy as a kid on Christmas day! Here is the story I had to run to Kroger's to pick a few things up and the the store parking lot was so full I had to park behind the store. I drove around and looked over and saw 4 kamado joes chained up behind the rent to own building. Naturally I was intrigued and had to go look. after seeing they were brand new went in and found the manager to ask what was up with the kamados.

Long story short they bought 4 this spring and never sold one. He told me he just moved them outside and wanted them gone asap. Said he was there until 7pm and he would sell me one at cost $559 which is half what of what you can find the cheapest one for..... I called my wife and she said go for it and now I own a kamado Joe classic!

I thoroughly appreciate the offer but I got plenty of wood! I have a tote of apple chunks, a tote of Hickory chunks, a tote of Cherry, and a tote of Mesquite from a friend of mine in texas

No but I called my friend and he got in his truck while I was still on the phone with him and drove in and bought one. He already has a Vision Kamado but said he couldn't pass up the deal. Now there is only two left lol

I missed this thread altogether. How do you like it? Not much not to like with a ceramic, other than the high price. They don't rust out like an expensive metal Q. I have a very old Imperial Kamado #4. I don't know how old probably late 70's, early 80's, no Japanese characters on it. Would you mind telling what rental center? A national chain? Maybe another deal can be had.

One Ace in Ann Arbor has an older model on the floor for $849. The new ones come ready to cook with a bunch of stuff for $949. If they still have it when I'm ready to buy, I'll try to make a deal. I priced it at a stove shop in Toledo the other day, for $1299. He said he would normally price match, but that is less than his cost. So, I don't know what an average price is.

For $559, I'll take two
