... here on the west coast. It's been a strange couple of weeks. Stressfull with a lot happening. Good and bad. I always enjoy coming on here and reading about what's going on. Today my wife took the kids with her and visited her parents. I had almost the whole day to myself. Time for some R&R. I present to you, exhibit 1: Hmm. Looks like a might need to take my OPE for a spin... The results so far: To be continued... The trees are mainly ash, older and some birch. Thanks for taking a look. I will be sure to post more about my "firewooding" and homesteading in this thread.
Nice job. I think I'd be doing similar if I had a day to myself. However, a lot of it would be spent holding down that chair.......wouldn't want it floating away.
Busy, busy, busy. It seems all of us get struck with that from time to time; like every day. We don't mind too much the good stress but hope that bad stuff wasn't too bad. Looks like you also live in some beautiful country. Would love to see more pictures from your area.
I'd be interested to know too? Myself, we raise sheep. We are in the process now of clearing more forest into field which is why I have been cutting so much wood lately. I retired only a few months ago but already I am busier than I have ever been before with church, a Christian Camp I volunteer to do work for, and missions. Life is good though (well mostly, I have my days).
R & R Eh? So many of you hoarders have problems just sitting still and relaxing a bit. Aye yi yi! Stop working already. Nice work Viking!
Finally got the new water softener installed! Only took about 3 or 4 weeks to build up the ambition to do it! Gary
I'm betting this is not the first time you've been in the wrong place Gary_602z Probably your mother thought that too!
Thanks, the view is nice. However, I do envy all the flatness I see in pictures on here. All that work; so much easier! We could never have a tractor for example, its just too steep. We MIGHT be able to make use of an ATV though. Cats? Haha. So far out focus has been clear land and getting a "edible garden" going. We have some qual though. Hopefully some chickens soon! (We both have full time jobs to pay for it all, for now at least.) Uphill for sure. The hills only go one way around here........ Good on you! Reminds me, we really need to see to the well................... Norwegian Wood? I know the wifes likes it! (The trees are mainly ash, older and some birch(sp?)) The neighbor, now 91 years old, planted a lot of spruce in the 60s/70s. So those also have to come down soon, I hope. He has given us permission to do so, as they are very near our place.
