Went to bring out the telescope for the long holiday and all my lenses are gone! Stollen right off the shelf. Close to $1000 of 2" lenses, some ultra wide view that cost $200 a piece. Wow, I am beside myself.
Sorry to hear this Adam. So someone knew those lenses were worth some money. Most who don't know telescopes, like me, wouldn't know they were worth anything.
Dang it, Adam! That blows! Do y'all have the (opioid) epidemic in your area like is sweeping so many other parts of our nation? A nice looking case would be tempting to this particular brand of shmucks. Video camera purchase time!
Really sorry to hear about this. You're right they probably don't have a clue about what they took......JERKS!..........Tele Vue?
Yeah, a nagler 16 or so was in there. And a big ol celstron that looked more like a water purifier. It's been years since I bought these and I only handled them in the dark so I'm not sure what all the four wide view lenses were other than they varied from 16-32 and one was adjustable zoom. The rest were the standard 2" celstron kit with filters, Barlow, etc.
Yep, still mad. Not sure when I will be able to get replacements either, probably not until fall or later.
I had a funny call the otherday. A guy called and said that someone had got into his garage and he couldn't find anything missing but who ever broke into it had left a box of fishing worms in there! Since we supply fish bait to stores in the area he contacted me and we were able to narrow it down to 2 stores in his area. He was thinking it was local kids as there is a creek just down the road. Is that all that was stolen? Doesn't sound like something a random stranger would take. More like someone knew they wouldn't be missed for awhile.
