I finally got back on the horse and SS some red oak, white oak, and river birch. I kept these splits a lot larger than I normally keep them. These will make for my overnight splits. damm it feels good to be a stovesman!

You will. Easy. Lower the damper put 3 in at 11:00 am and with your stove you’ll be good till 3 am. Then do it again and you’re set. Just one reload a night. With my small firebox I’m a 3 reload guy

Wow. I could not live with a stove that has a small firebox. Besides, we have no furnace for backup. Wood heat or none.

We don’t get the extreme cold and snowpack here on the coast that you guys do in Central MI. I wish we did. That being said my firebox (“16” wide by 14” deep by 14” high) can get about five 5” splits in at once. The stove puts out enough heat with the automatic blower and open floor plan, that it heats most of my 2200’ square foot house without the furnace kicking on.
