Whatever you do, think long and hard before anyone sharpens their knife. Many times you end up worse. I've had 3...

Good luck Uni. Hope it's something that'll be treatable without surgery.

Nothing screaming surgery from the MRI, that's good, some long term damage that the Dr. doesn't seem too concerned about. If I don't over do anything I'm ok. This has been a 20 year ordeal(with work) that I'm getting very tired of. Vent over, thanks everyone.:D

I feel for ya...had back spasms back in '79 at work..had a few flare ups since then..still keep a fancy brace in the truck just in case..every once in a while I will bend over to pick up something and that twinge will tell me "don't do that.."

Glad to hear that unicorn1! Hope your back is better soon man. Glad it is not worse than that. Back problems are tough. Go easy on it for a while. Then take two cold ones tomorrow night early and have a nice dinner. Then rest and sleep a good long night.

I have a brother who says his Teeter hang up did more for him than the doctors could. He loves it.

    That is great news!

On the inversion tables, I've talked to several people that say they love them for getting relief from back problems. Oh how I wish I'd known that a long time ago but now I can't use them because of both hips being replaced. Doc said if I did it, both would come out of the sockets. Doesn't sound like fun.

Nope, wouldn't be fun at all Dennis. Wonder if anyone has tried those inversion tables upright, at different angles leaning back... you'd hold your weight up with large padded supports (like a crutch) under your arms, instead of upside down held by your ankles. Would think your back would release compression the same way as upside down. And, your hip sockets would only be holding the weight of each leg and not the whole body, so less strain there.
