Found this an ok vid Backwoods Savage . What say you? (I'm in no way affiliated, trying to get views for, or any other shady stuff. Just thought it would be a good watch)
Basically good. I feel this video was made for new burners and with that it is good. Only one I disagree with and that is pallet. I would agree to list pallets along with simple explanations. Also realize how many on this forum have burned it and also advised others when they don't have good wood to add pallet wood when trying to burn that questionable wood. On a scale of 0 to 10, I'd give it a 9. After all, someone smarter than I told ud there ain't no 10.
My old Line Foreman sent his two granddaughters to the hospital overnight by burning a huge burn pile full of poison ivy vines. And the smoke went right to his granddaughters. He was horrified
What happens if you burn it? We don’t really have poison ivy in Colorado. I’ve heard we do in some small areas, but I don’t think I’ve ever personally seen it.
x2 My Dad got something in Colorado fly fishing when I was little . He ended up thowing his fishing vest away after the oils on it got him again on his next outing. It wasn't poison "ivy" but something similar in Colorado. Would have been either NOCO high country to the west or NOCO east/Adams County in the 7o's. I'm guessing high country like up past Nederland or Poudre or St Vrain?
You have the possibility of breathing in that which causes swelling and itching poison ivy - Google Search
It was 13 years of bliss for me, living in the land of no poison ivy. Like Wild West notes, I’m pretty sure I saw it occasionally, and was thinking along the Poudre.
Inhalation of poison ivy smoke can be fatal. You haven't lived until youve had a severe full body poison ivy rash good times
