This brood showed up in our backyard as I was about to let the dogs out a few minutes ago.
Mama just stood watching as the chicks pecked at the bugs. I hope they got all the ticks, if there are any out there.

We have been getting a visit everyday for the last two weeks. They are after the rasberries growing on the edge of the yard.

Nice, but I don't miss the chit they alway left in the driveway. No turkeys here since all the predators moved in. Used to see many flocks of them nearly every day.

I've seen a single turkey wandering around in the orchard behind my house a few times in the past couple weeks.

    Get the stuffing ready. :)

Saw this group out front meandering in the front yard yesterday, but there were 3 adults.
They went down in the ditch, and across the road.
Lady at the end of the road has feeders in her yard. I guess she didn't see the little blurb in the paper a couple years ago about the local bear.

I swear turkeys have an internal clock. We have had a crew of turkeys go through the backyard almost the same time everyday.

I have learned to hate those stupid birds. Plant something and they scratch it all up. Wife does a good job of keeping them away from the bird feeders. I once saw her with a broom in her hands chasing some turkeys.

I thought I saw turkeys across the road once, turned out to be buzzards. Grandson started objecting ("Eww!!"), I told him don't "dis" the clean-up crew.

Was reading this thread and looked out the window to see about 10 of them cruising through the backyard ;)

Only got the one pic by the time i grabbed the camera. Can see a couple just to the right of garage and will throw some feed out today. :)

One of our drivers got one a few weeks ago, dead nuts center of the windshield :bug:

I had a pic, but lost it with my old phone. Pretty impressive what a 20 lb bird can do when you hit it at 65.

Freightliners windshields are in two pieces, with a metal support between them. The bird hit right in the center, and all little towards the botttom. The windshields both broke and the metal piece was all bent up, but it all held together.

However they build laminated windshields works.

This little herd/flock/brood/group must have permanent residence status.
Probably due to the lady down the road that feeds 'em.
I've seen 'em all over the property and down the road at the neighbors.
The dogs like to chase 'em into the trees.
