I know there are some videos out there. But maybe we can get a thread going for others out there? I just got my MS362 back. I'm trying to learn the sound and technique of tuning with a rev. Limiter coil. Which is interesting to say the least. Try to operate the saw and try to make adjustments while in the wood. Any Tips and techniques.

Limited coil tune in the wood. Hear that warble just a hint every now and again when easing up and I know I am good. It sounds like a buzzing sound to me.

To tune in the wood I just cut my rounds and adjust after every cut an eigth of a turn or so.

    Here's a video of a 7900 with limited coil.

Yep. Tuning in wood is the way to go with limited coils.

MasterMech had a good video tuning a 460. It's an unlimited coil, but he really runs through the High speed jet to let you hear the difference of a Fat, Lean, and a good Bumble (or four stroke).

Yea, I'll try to get MM to attach it here. It's the one that helped me with my MS290, my first tuning job.

Mdavlee that's a good one. You can hear it. Thanks.

I think I got my MS362 close. I wanted to get a little fat while breaking in the new P/C on it.

That was andyshine77 that made that video. It's about the best for tuning rev limited coils.

It is hard to tune like that with the saw vibrating the screw driver out.

It's pretty simple when the saw is on the dyno. I can pull it to the exact rpm where it starts to clear up. Sorry didn't mean to rub it in.
