CountyLine 25 ton Honda engine 3yr/2yr/1yr warranty Assembled $850 This is the lowest price I've seen at TSC. They usually only run this deal on Black Friday
They had some good deals there today. I stopped for chicken feed and left with that, a new flag and pole, new winter hat, new 3500 pound winch, some bird seed and almost a Jonsered 2166 had to resist and set that one down . Specially since I can get a new 372xp for the same price so not much deal there
Way back, many moons ago I purchased a 20 ton splitter from Quality Farm & Fleet (TSC bought them out) and the sale price was that much!!!! I got them down a bit more but in today's dollars, that is a real buy! I think. Sounds good anyway. I think Family Farm and Home also has one around that price; probably 22 ton.
It supposedly has a " Low oil alert system " whatever that is according to sales specs at Kohler Courage Engine 196cc, 3/4in. x 2 7/16in. Shaft, Model# PA-SH265-3011 | 121cc - 240cc Kohler Horizontal Engines| Northern Tool + Equipment I went by Walmart noon time to grab a spray can of starter fluid ( mine was empty ) but I wasn't doing that madhouse traffic . There was no documentation with it but it has an obvious on/off electric switch, fuel on/off, manual choke and throttle . It's full of oil and hyd fluid. It didn't smell like I flooded it trying to start it. I really won't have a chance to mess with it until Saturday.
Hmmm...very tempting! I'm really digging the idea of the 4-way and the log cradle though...I'm planning to do a lot of horizontal splitting since I can use the backhoe bucket to get the rounds to that level easily...although, I could use the extra funds for the winch I've been eying.
Sounds good...except a 24" + oak round will tip the splitter up... unless you add a leg under the foot like a kick stand. I prefer horizontal also... but figured this little tipping point out the hard way...
