Another shop is going up this month across from mine, I lease the shop/land. The electrician stated the power lines which run underground behind my shop would go around my wood piles, across the field to the new shop. Well today I talked to the land owner and the engineer stated the underground lines would be ran directly beside my shop where all the wood piles are. Waiting for the final word, if all the wood needs to move come on out to Texas and my wife will cook steak and briskets..
Sounds like the guy building the new shop has some work cut out if he wants power. If I was in that boat I'd say tough chit, I'm not moving anything!
I would think you have some say in that. Talk with the engineer themselves it is your property after all that they want access to.
I lease the shop/land and the owner is a great guy, he knows he will have to move it all himself if I'm out of town on D-Day. The new shop slab is in place just waiting for the steel.
Here's the black electrical conduit, looking north. I moved most of the wood out that was along this side.
No answer to where the trench is going so I'm moving wood as a preemptive measure. I have to go back to Albq, NM to work for a few days so we'll see what's happened when I get back.
???, the conduit is the electric run already in place for the future shops on the property. All the future yellow gas line and black electric line are sticking up out of the ground?
I see a black plastic electric line coming out of the ground traveling several feet exposed then entering the building- won't pass code here. At the very least that would have to be framed in in some sort of anchored chase or buried and not exposed until very close to slab and the a small chase anchored to cover the exposure. Rules vary in different areas.
I thought it was coming out of the wall too haha...that's what ya call one of them there optical illusions.
Good pic. I did unearth this gas line but it turned out to be a scrap piece that didn't make it to the trash.
