I have a $30 Barns and Noble gift card that is burning a hole in my pocket. Going to get some tree identification guides. Any suggestions as to what book? Which one do you have?
    Anyone have this one?

The book the OP lists is for trees throughout the world, not specifically the US or Canada. Below, I've listed the books I've learned from.

This was the field guide for my dendrology class (although I learned from an earlier edition :)).
    Latest edition

Earlier edition(and I have an even earlier edition! ;))

Here's the textbook bible of tree ID that I learned from. I was lucky enough to have been taught by a student of Harlow, who even did a few guest appearances in that class. It has been updated many times, and each version seemed to get better.

And finally, if you are in the east and central US, here's one specifically for you.

I had to edit and copy and paste to get these pics to show. Apparently, links to an Amazon page don't like to show up any more...
