Not sure I could help even if I knew what A 5/35 rub was?

I never heard of it. Looked it up. Sounds like Canadian Ben-Gay. It’s made of camphor, eucalyptus, menthol and other chemicals.
Want tree smells like it? Don’t know. The original formula had a very strong medicinal odor. Camphor is a tree in Asia. Eucalyptus not sure of. Laurel bushes have camphor in them.
Aromatic cedar is the closest thing I could think of.

Eucalyptus, though I'm not sure it grows where you live.

Eucalyptus definitely leeks a sap. Purple as I remember it. But the Canadian medicine reference makes me think your right. Shouldn’t be growing in northern climes.

I had to go back and research our pictures but here is a picture of it in the full fall colours. Sorry that I didn't get a close up at the time.
