    When I looked at this the other day I thought it was an Ash but cutting it today made me think Butternut.

    Usually Butternut has 11-17 leaves and this only has 9.

    I think pig nut hickory

    EDIT.....after further research, pignut hickory only has 5 leaves.......

    Some kind of hickory I'm thinking.....

    I had my phone on when I put it in the carrier I wear on my belt, some of the settings got changed, I'm sure it happened that way on your phone. :emb:

    Regular ash usually has 9 leaflets like that. Black, white, and green ash only have 7. Hickories usually have between 5-7 leaflets. Do you know if the tree had opposite branching like this branch01.jpg
