Hopefully he comes through. It's quite nice having tree guys deliver wood in your yard.

It sure is. I definitely appreciate the wood fairy showing up. It's always a nice way to come back home after a day of work and seeing logs dropped off.

Hopefully they come through for you NYCountry

I have plenty of wood and availability of wood but it always makes me think when I see these posts. The tree guys around here, at least that I know of all take it home and try to sell firewood themselves.

I'm lucky because not too many people burn wood in my neck of the woods. You have a few just do it occasionally in their fireplace. This tree guy I met does it for the money and chips the wood and sells that too. I'm surprised he doesnt take the wood and split it and sell firewood. Better for me..

We have a few tree guys that take it down and sell it as firewood, that's what I would do,

They do that here too, but the only time I've seen them keep the wood is when it was black locust. I've gotten honey locust from a tree service, but it was also in with some white pine.

Also, the places that sell the firewood use a processor, so if it's too big, they can't deal with it.

Sounds like the possible start of a good friendship!

Maybe buy him a gift certificate to a local restaurant, I'm betting that will lead to more wood down the road!

Make sure he drinks whiskey! Some don't.

This could be a real winner for you.

The tree guy came thru and dumped the maple, I started to split before I head to work, 20 minutes of splitting
