Decided to burn a vacation day yesterday with a coworker and go lookin for some stripers. Ended the morning with two 35" and one 36". Threw one 30" back. Great day on the water! Oh and the best part was blackened striper for dinner!

We love striper fishing and eating. LOL. Unfortunately our boat has been out of the water for a while now. I won’t lie, I am jealous you were able to get out and hook up. Nice fish.

Thanks dan. I haven't caught a striper from a boat in about 7-8 years. Was lucky enough to find them yesterday. This was my last striper from the surf. Took me a while to reel that bad boy in!

Nice job. I still haven't reeled in a striper yet. I've caught Blues and all the garbage fish. I was out about a month ago in Seaside when the run started. You could see them migrating south but they were about 100-150 yards off the surf, out of casting range.

I check the Betty and Nick's website a few times a week to see how the action is.

BCB i haven't managed a good sized striper from the beach yet either. Just got back into surf fishing last summer. I'm usually out in brigantine. That's where the mrs wanted to get a permit because her family all have them. The fishing aint the greatest (shallow) but they're there from time to time.

    Catch any searobins this summer?

I've only made it out once back in October. Didn't catch anything. I've caught my share of sea-robins over the years. Those and skates are my specialty lol.

I learned something recently about those nasty little sea robins. They're delicious! No lie! Cut the filets into little nuggets, dip in egg then in seasoned panko bread crumbs. Fry till golden brown. I'll never throw back another one. They taste like a juicy chicken nugget
