Anyo e have any idea where I can pick up these seeds? Otherwise, know any places online that would sell them with little or no shipping costs?
We will be going to menards for sure today, maybe Home Depot. We could do lowes if we don't find any at those two. Thanks!
I have bought many seeds through Ebay with free shipping. Of course, it is a crapshoot as to the quality of the seeds but Ebay is an option. I have had good success. Home Depot always has a bunch of seeds.
I had to laugh that Lowes had garden chit out already and winter stuff mostly on sale or going in storage. The guy doing the schedule must be in Florida.
I have a few tomato seedlings sitting under grow lights. I would be happy if the stores stocked seeds year round.
ocean state job lot had theirs out just as they were selling the last strings of Christmas lights. all labelled packed for 2014 so they weren't last year's packages Mooresville, NC http://consumerist.com/2008/06/18/lowes-ceo-robert-niblock-email-address-and-phone-number/ ------------------------- Way too early for me to start tomatoes I've tried it this early and putting them out in the still cool ground set them right back I grew tomatillos one year everyone liked them but no one would go out and pick them but me I had tomatillos coming up all over like weeds for two years afterwards.
I should clarify that they are Lizzanos. A semi-determinate and smaller tomato plant. If I keep them indoors a little longer, then it won't matter.
Is this one of the new tomatoes (hybrid ? ) good for containers ? My S-I-L has had great luck with containers/vegetables on her deck. But she gets container specific/bred/ select plants.
I have grown Huskies which are a good container cherry tomato plant. This is my first try with Lizzanos (below). Yes, they are both hybrids.
We had great success with supersweet 100 hybrid last year. So much that we are planting them again this year, just less of them! They produced way too much for us.
