62 degrees Saturday afternoon and finally some dry ground, skidded out some old dead oak. Then played with the new saw a little.
Only 62 we are going to see around here in the near future is inches of snow on the ground. Calling for another 6-12 today tomorrow. Can't get out in the woods at all and if I did the trees would have to stay till the snow pack goes down . :-(. But thanks for the pictures lets us over here in the North East that all is not lost .
I probably jinxed myself by posting that but so far we have had no measurable snow this winter, that's a first in the 15 years we've lived here. Hang tough spring will get there
I had a friend call yesterday morning and wanted to go riding just as I was getting in the woods, it was hard to turn him down but I couldn't pass up a nice day in the woods been waiting too long.
It's gonna be close to 70 down there today isn't it? Heck, it's supposed to be 55 here and I'm gonna take advantage of it. We came back from my parents house east of Erie last night and they have about 3 feet of snow..lol.. It was the first day above 32 there in over a month
62 where are you? Funny story, when I first joined I saw that someone is from Atlanta. I wondered how much wood burning they'd do in Atlanta. It was not for a while when I finally noticed the ", Mi". Haha
66 right now, gonna sweep the chimney since the fire is out. Hard to believe it was in the teens last week.
Prime firewood, but 62 degrees?!!! Sounds great but if we had that temperature we'd hope it was only for a day or 2 at most. Same goes for March. Remember just a couple years ago when we had that extremely warm weather and then fruit trees blossomed about a month too early. Consequently, no fruit that year except for strawberries and raspberries.
Forecast said 55 here today and the weather channel app on my phone still says 53 as a high.. Best I saw all day was 41.. Got a lot done though..
No not me, but before I had the equipment I've thrown, carried and rolled a lot of wood out to be able to load it on the truck. Tractors and 4 wheelers made my life much easier
