I learned this last year from the guy in the video CubeezX. I'm a big fan of his videos. In the following video, he uses the 3 tire triangle trail grooming method. He has 3 ft snow and later in the video, you can see his set up. All of his videos worth watching, enjoy...
We still have a solid foot to 16" Took the grizzly out for a ride, beautiful day. Had to put it in diff lock on a few hills and boulders. 42°F- awesome outside.
My wifes uncle lives in Nova Scotia Canada, he has a camp in the hills northwest of halifax. His quad would do simular things as the grizzly with 4 wheels but at some point the snow would just get too deep. Her uncle changes his wheels out for tracks and is able to 'float' over the snow and get the same results Either way the job gets done.
Back in 2009, when I bought my Suz with tracks, there were only a few different YouTube videos showing what the tracks were capable of. Hundreds of vids now… all very cool stuff… if you like slow with solid traction. But, if you want to get somewhere fast on snow, a sled's the only way to go.
Yep… I really like what tracks do for my Suz. I found this video on another site. Pretty cool idea, speaking of tracks… hand held snowmobile
