We'll be moving the date up a week this year so look at April 22. Of course several will get here by Wednesday or Thursday so don't be afraid to come early. As usual, there is a camping and parking area. Porta potties will be in camping area and by the campfire. Like last year we'll be helping out a neighbor on Friday morning. When we come back here, I hope to have plenty of logs and/or tops out in the open and on higher ground but it depends a lot on weather and if I can work at it. Sad to say I am slowing down a bit but I'm not out yet. I'll be making another thread before the GTG for folks who wish to bring food and if anyone wishes to donate anything (but is optional) for door prizes. GTG at home of the Backwoods Savage, near Chesaning, MI.
These door prize donations.... Can they be used if in perfect working condition? Do they have to be saw or wood burning related? Like tools in general for example. Or a used saw ect.
I’ll do ya one better! A fellow horder and his dad made it to Dennis' pre Covid from Australia! Folks don’t let distance discourage you these GTGs are worth the travel.
Was that your nephew with you last weekend? I don't remember his name for sure. I'd hate to call him by someone elses name.
I forgot about that. I remember someone mentioned it last year. Definitely good times to be had at these GTGs.
for a change, I remembered right. He seemed like a really nice guy. I still shiver when I think about him working with bare hands in the cold.
