    I came across a unused 2018 tw-2 36
I’ve used the tw-5 before and thought it was a great machine. Does anyone have any thoughts on the TW-2 that has used them first hand ?

Timberwolf makes great products. The TW-2 is on the lower end of their product scale and is mainly designed towards homeowners. They are still much beefier than any box store bought splitter you’ll find. The TW-2-36 is specifically designed to split longer wood for outdoor boilers. Therefore it has a slower cycle time of 14 seconds vs 9 for the regular TW-2. The TW-5 you ran is a much larger commercial machine. Not really comparable. Personally, unless you need to split 36” long wood, or it’s super cheap, I’d pass and wait for a faster cycle machine with a normal length stroke.
