Tsumura is the nicest for those.

That's what I was leaning towards but never having anything but factory bars on most saws I thought I'd get opinions from guys who have been there done that. Learn from other peoples experience it's cheaper.

Price isn't a big concern within reason. I mainly do firewood and select cutting our woods on the farm. I just finished cutting a right of way for the pipeline going through our place and thought a new bar would be nice. The one on it now is about 10 yrs old and been on a couple saws starting to show its age.

But don't dismiss some cheaper bars. I have a forester pro that other than being heavy it has been a fine bar. Many have good things to say about gb, windsor, Carlton, and the Bailey's woodland pro have some good reviews.

The new forester platinum bars look good and are very affordable. Haven't tried one yet. My sugihara was well worth the money.

Slowly converting over to Tusmura L&T's. I have one Total Super Bar (non-lightweight, sprocket tip) and several Stihl E and ES and have liked all of these too. I tried a couple Sugihara lightweights but these seemed flexier than the others (not scientific). As said, already, if you are not looking for a reduced-weight bar, there are a myriad of good choices for the casual/non-pro user.

I like the looks of the tusmura, sugihara bars growing up I was the main cutter for our sawmill wouldn't say a pro by any means and mostly used husky bars and the held up well just think the 562 deserves a pretty bar for a pretty saw :emb:

Couldnt go wrong with a Tsumura or Sugi. fordf150 had some pretty darn good deals on the Tsumuras IIRC a while back. He is a real good guy to deal with.

Total Super Pro, which are made by Tsumura, either regular or light version would be my choice. $54.11 or $74.95 respectively from Performance Outdoor, 20" 3/8 .050. Great seller, highly recommend.

I'm running a sugi on my 562. It was a Sexy bar when new. IMG_20151203_123100229.jpg Now it's a well worn work horse.

Been good to me so far. Was originally running a stock 20" Husqvarna bar. Really only got the sugi cause I wanted a spare bar. Not to mention it's just good looking.

Funny thing is, it's just a sticker. The saw is totally stock. I bought the saw used, and was told he puts the sticker on all the saws sold.
