Starting this We'd night into Thursday, you may need some heat..

Supposed to be mid 50's for the high and 40's to high 30's for the low.

I know I am looking forward to it.

Looks like we will be holding on to semi warm times here for the next couple days. I did have to fire the pellet stove this morning before I went to work. Left it going so the better half would have a warm house to wake up to. She gets the day off while I'm here working! From what all the weather sources are saying I don't think I'll have to keep the 30 rolling until Wednesday next week. Can't wait!

I've built several "chiller killer" fires the past week or so, had to open some windows because of it. I'm about sick of the mild temps......I'm ready for a couple feet of snow......maybe one good Nor'easter once a month from now til late March!! (yes I'm DEAD serious, too!!)

that's my next door neighbors farm.....they are the best neighbors you could ever wish for. Around 400 private acres, me and my family have almost exclusive rights to the property.......they let me run sleds over there, cut wood, tap trees for maple syrup, hunt........several trails in the woods too! We have a blast on the sleds there!

Warm here too. I'm still running the dehumidifier and could almost run the a/c here. Looking forward to some cooler weather later in the week. Got a ways yet for burning for me though.

Great view there Scotty. Looks like a blast

Looks like we are headed for the damp dreary crud. Lows high 30's low 40's and highs 40's and 50's with rain. I think the extended forecast has rain like 11 of the next 14 days. Yuk. Lots of chiller killer fires coming up and good thing that box of 100 Super Ceders showed up a couple weeks ago.

Its warming up here again! I let the fire go out this morning. It is already in need of an ash cleaning (maple and alder loads it up with ash, unlike fir). I have already gone through a quarter cord of shoulder wood. Supposed to be rain-free for the next 10 days and WARM! Indian Summer! Yippie!

Nearly snowed here the other night, frost here last week, hailed like crazy, lots of lightning, torrential record rain in September, floods 2 weeks ago, high wind, already had one day+ power outage, tornados just north of me in WA, and lots of funnel clouds reported. Just before the power went out here the winds really kicked up and I went out and saw strong winds blowing east and west on my property at the same time... meaning cyclonic winds, and likely a tornado beginning to form. We had them here 2 years ago about a mile from here. They are becoming more common in the west of late.

Sunny out now, time to fix my roof damage from the wind and repair the gutter leaks. Then fall planting and landscaping. Outside fires in the fire ring. Watch the trees turn color and rake up tons of leaves. Fall has resumed its more normal pattern here... :MM:
