    Hello

Just like this old house, this old stove is almost 10 years old and the brass bearing is dry and squeaky!
Works but the noise is quite annoying!

Anyway, this Meridian has a very nice heavy 3/4" shaft, just perfect for the NYLATRON upgrade.
The oil impregnated bronze bearing just dried up over the years so the permanently lubricated nylatron and end plate is a perfect upgrade.

Upon examination of the auger it is good except for some auger pox! sharp bits of slag from a sloppy weld. So I just ground those bits down,
Put in a shiny new auger motor too!
No more squeaks and feeds pellets as good as an old Whitfield! ! !

Yes Jay, Good temp fix but in this case a the auger motor was noisy so a more permanent fix was required. :)
