This might be old news, but I just found out New England Pellet bought Allegheny Pellet....
    http://biomassmagazine.com/articles/11578/rentechs-new-england-wood-pellet-acquires-allegheny-pellet

I love Allegheny Pellets but heard not so good things about NE WP..... I'm wondering now if Allegheny will become a just ok pellet.....
I'm not writing them off but if anyone buys Allegheny this year I'd love to hear a review.

    Thanks

    JS

PS If anyone in NE Penna knows of a Somerset stash I'd be there in a FLASH.....

I asked them a while back after the sale. Still using the same employees, management, process and same fiber as before. Still using the same bag IIRC as well.

Imo ,I think this was a deal that helps both companies Newp grabs more market ,with I'm assuming a well respected pellet , I've never burned them so I have no 1st hand experience . Allegheny get's an infusion of $$$ that they needed to get to the next level by replace aging equipment , increasing salaries ,and benies . I don't think NEWP would want to F up a good thing

If saw Alleghenies I would grab 5 - 10 bags to try in a heart beat ,then decide for myself if I want more :)

I love em. I would put them against any pellet except for maybe Somerset which were exceptional. I still have about 35 bags from last year before the sale. I might try a ton next year when I buy again. Hopefully they will be the same great pellet.
