    Big oak at the farm, you can see the splt down the center. Gonna put a tape measure on it someday.

    Yep, looking at the picture it would go to the left and slightly towards you. There was a huge limb on the right that fell of about 8 years ago and took down about 1/2 of a mile of power lines. The house hasn't been lived in for about 25 years I figure trying to get it tore down in a year or two!

    That's a doozie.....me likes the doozies....

    Just be very careful, split trees do goofy things when felling them. Might want to,consider putting a chain binder around that trunk before doing the deed.....

    That's a biggun'!!

    I had a large ash that was probably 70% that size that had split like that and was in danger of falling on my house. Since it needed to come down I was about to call in a pro but then one of the halves (the half NOT leaning towards my house) fell on it's own. That made taking the other side down much easier on my own.
