My wife and daughter gave me a stearn talking to about my bender the last month. Iv failed to work on my other responsibilities as a homeowner. My pool needs to be covered, our daughter still has no door on her bathroom in her new basement apartment and the property is looking like a foreclosure. ( my wood piles look amazing though) They can appreciate my passion for the wood but needless to say im not allowed at the quarry for a few days until i catch up on my chores. Truth be told i cant wait to just drive around on the lawnmower and also just blow some leaves.
You are not alone. Wife reminded me (like she really needs to do that....pfffttt), that the living room still needs some work so we can paint. I'm now working on the living room. Again. Some more.
If you want a list of all my half finished projects that could be a while. But the ones that got me in trouble are the pool, leaves, door in basement, front lawn and the a/c units are still in. Oh and i have to sweep the chimney real quick.
I get into trouble all the time it seems. However, I just take it one step at a time. Trouble is, the steps are sometimes quite a ways apart.
Hoooooold on there friend. In this situation I think it's important to just stop and not make any drastic decisions. I mean there's crazy and then there's CRAZY...
I got the pool done and it started to rain and my wife says, oh thats too bad now you have to mow the lawn and do leaves tomorrow cuz its pouring out instead of cutting wood. Guess whos back to cutting wood tomorrow.
Front and back done, she said the door and blowing the rest of the leaves can wait till they all fall.
Ms. buZZsaw said if i bring another load of wood home she is leaving me Woodwhore Boy am i gonna miss her! In case anyone hadnt noticed i prioritize hoarding over chores. Time and a good wood score wait for no man. In all seriousness, she is very patient with me, im a wood hoarder, she has to be!
House is warm & I don't pay a huge heat bill to be comfortable, other stuff gets done eventually. That's just how it is.
Truth. I busted my butt on so many other house projects and didn't do any wood work for months. Now I can do wood work.
I have my honey do list cut down to size in the past few months...Just a few other day long projects and it back to the woodyard.
...........or we all don’t get married and then don’t have to hear any bull crap about lists. WOOD FIRST
You were going so fast on the tractor Woodwhore that you're a blur. Funny how fast we can get stuff done when wood calls!
