Just logged on to post link - nice post mepellet - looks pretty interesting - not sure how it works in tough stuff.

It was hard to get a decent view of how it actually works. It looks light and it swings fast and accurate.
Big price tag in US dollars

There was a long thread back in the old forum that detailed how it worked. The consensus was not very well, especially in twisted hard woods. You'll notice the guy splitting frozen pine, if my memory serves me correctly. Also there was an issue with the twisting of the axe that may lead to wrist issues?
I think that the axe was loaned out to some members who got to try it out and get a hands on trial with it. It probably is ok, just not really worth the high price of it. Like all other means of splitting, you need more than one axe/maul to get the job done.
Unless, of course, you happen to have a 20 ton splitter.

edit: I have to confess that I have never used the thing, no nor have I ever actually seen it (outside of the above you-tube) in action. It may very well be the most efficient axe ever made and completely revolutionize the splitting industry, making all other splitters obsolete. Again take my observation with the proverbial grain of salt. ;)

I was wrong, the thread about the leveraxe wasn't on Hearth.com, it was in Arboristsite.com. That is all.

I've seen a couple threads in other places and it appears to be mixed reviews. I'll i can say is the twisting handle has to wear your arms out fast....

    Word up!

Unless that head is spring loaded and designed to swivel, I don't think anyone's wrists/forearms would last long.
I'd pay to see the same guy split some Red Oak or Hickory with that thing!
