I like 32:1 but would have no problems going back to 40:1.

Local station has 90 octane ethanol free for about $4.25 a gallon. My 2-stroke stuff I just mix 40ish to 1. All my tools plus the kids go-cart gets this fuel and they all start quick and get a good clean burn.

Since I started using that fuel I haven't had one single carb/plug/poor performance issue or starting problem so I'm staying the course.

    40 to 1 E free !!

Don't care about getting the most out of my saw, I want longevity and the protection.

Was going 45:1 as a little added protection, but just about to start mixing 40:1 using Belray H1R - looking forward to trying it out. Cheers!

Oil threads... soft and gooey, they just never go away!

I voted for 40:1 but I actually use 42.6:1, because that is 3 oz. per gallon, and there are 33 oz. in a one liter oil bottle. 50:1 seems to be some stupid EPA requirement, and at 32:1 synthetic starts to smoke on me.

[pic removed: keep it family friendly folks!]

    I can't vote. ... (I voted anyway)

    My 36:1 is not listed..

Sits perfectly between 32:1 and 40:1. So there is NO argument.

Plus, I drink the H1R Kool Aid. .Much like the OP's Avatar ;)

40:1 Stihl Ultra and Efree 90. I use the little 2.5 gal mix bottles in 2 gallons of gas, gives me 40:1.

I used to run 50:1 and didn't have any problems. When I had my first ported saw, I switched to 40:1 in all of em.

During the season I mix 89 octane at 50:1 by the gallon. Off season I keep a couple of quarts of 93 e-free 50:1 pre-mix in the garage for emergencies & opportunities.

I run 50 to 1 but I may switch over to 40 since I'm about to start milling!:dex:

Side note, my 2 stroke auger takes 25 to 1. It doubles as my skeeter smoker

100-1, 50-1, 40-1, 32-1. Been there, done that. No problems with any of it. Currently, Amsoil at 40-1.
