So I may be taking on something a mite strange but in a way give back for anyone who may want a fire but store-wise its ridiculous. Those bundles don't help at all. Anyways I thought about using some if that plastic strapping that you use in shipping heavy loads. I figure find a super easy start pack but uline or grainger makes it hard to figure out what I need. Not a pnuematic tensioner. Just want to use this to bundle the wood I have but hoping I meet someone here who deals with that on a regular basis?

Well dammit. Well the reason why I wanted to is this one guy has come around for some wood and im happy to oblige. Its enough wood for a good pit fire and I have "money to burn" so I thought well get a box set up for this kinda stuff. Ive got a bunch of cedar fencing that would just be great to split in half and bundle. The way its been sitting though id rather just cut see who wants a few.

This just may be what Im looking for to start with and then I can graduate. At least some careful consideration comes to mind that I'll learn what works and add on.
Im just thinking how pleasing it would be to know someone else can take a bundle and enjoy it. I feel bad for anyone whos bought those store bundles. They are a huge rip off. The wood ive felt the middle, it was punky as it comes.
Im like holy crap, someone just devised SNAKE OIL here. I looked at half the pile, the wood looked like it was cut, sat in a pile for a while and got rotten then when they got around to it, they kilned it. None of this was premium as they label it. Plastic wrapped and labeled. Poplar and pine. Forget doug fir. "Too expensive" I find better bundles at a gas station and its really someone local who just has extra and theyve been asked to be a supplier. Ive got too much of a good thing to keep loads of. But the line ain't running down the block.
