I didn’t have a hex big enough to fit. Went through every tool drawer, box and bag twice and couldn’t find a bolt that might fit.
Did some g searches looking for tools needed to install prince valve and couldn’t find anything. $&@“!
Trip to autozone and they didn’t have any individuals big enough. The guy there recommended hf, but that’s 30min away and this quick fix had already exceeded my level of patience, so I bought the set. :makeitrain"
I try to leave and my truck door won’t open. Ooph
The good news is that there are no leaks.

In a pinch a bolt of the proper hex size and vice grips or a pipe wrench on the bolt shank works.
Edit i missed the bolt part.

I've even got lucky before and found a punch the right size!

Oh chit, I didn’t think about punches. I have a set with one that might have worked.

Punch or chisel shaft or in a pinch find a chisel that fits diagonally & use a pair of vise grips or a wrench on the shaft end.

This is what I have done. Used a cheap cold chisel and tuned it with a grinder. worked slick.

A bolt works if it isn't too tight ; I have done that in the past.
Or the good old belt grinder and a piece of round stock and grind your own.

Look at the bright side ; you now have a set. So chances are you will never need them again.

Yup, that’s why I have a tool collection with multiples of the ones I never need.

A plastic dust cover with a pull tab would be more user friendly for folks that don’t own a 9/16 hex.

That would totally inhibit the ability of some yahoo at the factory to run them home with a 1" impact making them stuck as heck!
