    So...many years ago...about 2014 ish...I bought a Stihl ms180 from Chvymn99 from this forum.
    Thanks again btw !!!
May have been my first forum purchase from a "stranger"!
Needless to say...the saw arrived perfectly ...and I happily used it to cut tons of dead standing wood to burn during season , cutting brush..etc.
Hit a really horrible time in my life..divorce..custody battle..
My whole saw hoard..new and old..had to go to pay for my lawyer bills......including my beloved 180.
So recently ...I searched high and low...found a replica ...with the Mini Boss sticker and everything !
I got her all cleaned up...muffler modded ( muffler holes ground out completely...exit louvers pryed open more )etc. This thing was hardly used at all. Great 14" bar and chain.
I forgot what a light weight gem these saws are. I'll never be without again ! Feels right at home in my hands :)
Nice to get some things back.

If you want more power, a walbro WT-15 carb for an MS250 fits and is fully adjustable.

You have to plug a pulse hole on the new carb, if I recall. YouTube will show you the way.

Thank you. I appreciate that. It was some time back that it happened. But it's been a very slow recovering process .

So what really stands out here for me is the oil tank window. IDK if I recall seeing one besides the one on my battery powered makita. Kinda hard to do with a metal case, but this is something at least all clams should have.

You are not alone.. had an ex girlfriend embezzled 100k + from my company.. while I was taking care of my mother dying of stage IV cancer..

Dark days… 18 months later my now wife moved in
And I sent that ex a thank you note for being a lying stealing &$!x because would have ifought to make it work and been miserable…

Now nice home beautiful wife and a good teenager.. Basically blessed.. hoping same for you!

Nice saw. We have one without the sticker. Did muffler mod like that, it really cuts, and has the oil tank view slot, IIRC.

Really a hard value to beat. Those were $200 or less new. The weakest point on them was the air filters were nothing to write home about.

Great to be reacquainted with an "old" friend. Looking at your signature line im surprised you own a Stihl.

Handy saw though. I have a 201 real handle for such purpose and owned a 170 for a bit.

I don't know how close that is to a ms170 , but I won one of those at Denny's a couple years ago and it's my go to due anything that isn't big that needs to be cut. It's light and cuts well.

Good to know! I've got two 180's on the shelf with bad carbs.

HoneyFuzz Glad you found another mini boss! They're great little firewood saws
