The heart of a scrounges on a hot summer night.

I had to run an errand in my truck, so naturally I went by a business where I get pallets, got this nice oak pallet. Then I went up the road a little to a community scrounge area I get wood from time to time. There were some logs of white oak, red oak, ash, cherry and maple. If it cools down soon I will get some just to have some fun.

 

I see some hollow logs in those pix. I'm always on the lookout for hollows for evening chimney fires. The longer the better!!!

 

Be hard to just let that sit. Wood laid out like that.. I’d have to get after it.

 

I’m gonna wait until the heat wave is over.

 

Good scrounge on the pallets. I used to like finding nice primo ones.

Some good wood to be had. Cant blame you for waiting. I stacked in the shade a few times this week and worked up a good sweat. Full sun...forget it.

How were the storms up there. Light rain here this evening with a few rumbles of thunder too.

 

Heavy downpour. Lost power for 90 minutes or so.

 

Yikes! That happen often? You have a generator?

 

Not often. I do have a generator.
