I’ve tested a lot of splitters in eucalyptus and some other tough to split species. This is kinda groundbreaking. Funny thing is I’ve been working towards this shape by modifying existing mauls. Language at the end. He has a couple other vids about it and the smaller brother which works incredibly well for 4.5lb.
I’ll admit, I’ve mostly moved to my Iron & Oak splitter. With some wood, red oak, similar, I can go through it almost as fast with a maul, plus it’s exercise. I grew up with using a maul with wedges, sometimes several wedges in the same round. For the most difficult I would cut down 4” or more with a chainsaw, then add the wedge.
