    Run Forrest Run!!!!

Breathing in or swallowing creosote fumes may cause the mouth, nose, and throat to become irritated. Even if only small amounts are inhaled or swallowed, over time, the liver, kidneys, and brain may become damaged. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, creosote can also cause cancer

Yeah, what he said!! RR ties are killer on chains too. When I was a young'n I got some pretty serious skin burns from creosote. My parents were using it to coat the wood siding on the house and I musta leaned on some. Nasty chit.

He's not serious...just funning with y'all...a thread like this, or something similar seems to make the rounds on all the sites every year or two...and BTW, my vote is for the poles...if ya light one end of it, it should do a nice long cigar burn...;)

A guy down the street from my work has an OWB. He lit it up yesterday I swear I smelled rubber burning like tires! Frequently there is a thick green smoke coming out of it. Really suprised no one complains about it but He works for the town municipal dept. so maybe they let it slide.

I think someone already mentioned it but probably old tires would be an even better bet.

Railroad ties probably stack better outside and in the stove better for a nice tight overnight load!

That is how the OWB's get such a bad rap people think they can burn everything. I burn dry seasoned firewood.
