I know some of your tough bastards are splitting & stacking wood in this heat….. but I havn't hit a lick in months. Last year put me way ahead, so to cool you down……….. I came across these looking for something else on the computer, they did cool me down and I'm a winter fan anyway. Thought you might enjoy them also.
I coulda used the cool pics this last week. Hot n humid but the campground caretaker asked if I would help by taking a couple trees down that he was worried about. Ended up with 2 smaller Ash a nice sized American Elm and gallons of sweat. There are 5 more but they didn't have broken branches n other ugly so this fall if I want he said I can takem. 2 big elm and 3 smaller ash. At 70 I don't mind helping him out with tree work.
I like cold, but minimal snow. Last winter was great. I have a feeling that we're gonna get buried in the white stuff this winter. Good thing I'm way ahead with wood.
Hopefully we get some real snow this year, driving to tug every weekend sucked. Only did something like 600 miles.
I've been considering putting a snow picture as the background on our computer. Might help. Supposed to get hot again starting tomorrow through Friday. That sucks, big time. I'm tired of the heat. On Saturday, we had a high of 68 here and that was really great. Best was we got over 3" of rain Friday night through Sunday morning. We needed that but it came too late for many of the farmers in this area. It will be thin pickings this fall for many.
We've done everything we know that will usually bring rain, like put clothes on the line, water the garden, plan a weather dependant event, & even painting…… still waterin' the garden!
I hate the heat. Those pics are wonderful. Winter is my favorite. The more snow the better. I could live with 45-50deg temps everyday.
I rode around on the land with a tiny amount of snow in the late fall. That was it. I didn't ride on the trails at all this past winter. That was a first for me since I've been able to ride a sled. Something like 35 years or so. There better be enough snow this year. I like processing wood in cooler temps. I prefer to cut/ split in the snow, as I can regulate my temperature easily. When it's warm? That's tough to do.
Did u wash, wax and detail the vehicles and leave the windows open? Strip the shingles off the roof, including the wood underneath? If not, was not enuff.
