    Is better than no Beech.
First Beech I’ve cut in a long time. Felled 12 today. Lots of Red Maple with a small Beech and a nice Cherry. Gotta go back to collect the wood.

That's sum nice firewood. Those look nice and healthy too. Most of the beech I see around here are withering from beech leaf disease.

Free logs for whoever cleans up the brush. Long straight Red Maple and Poplar is worth millions.

I’ve been splitting a bunch of knotty and wavy limb wood recently, so I’m looking forward to mowing through some straight Cherry and Red Maple. l’ll go back for 1-2 more loads.

Are you a "snob" when it comes to choosing wood for inventory? I try to avoid gnarly stuff. Quality of split my main criteria regardless of species.

I rarely get any straight cherry...even if it looks perfect, the grain usually has a twist, and will split that way.

Yeah I hate that. Go to split it and surprise. Same with red maple.
