Effective October 2nd, 2017, Subaru Corporation has withdrawn from the small engine power product business and has ceased the production and sale of multi-purpose engines, generators and pumps.

Industrial Power Products of America, Inc. will be responsible for supplying replacement parts to our distribution network as well as handling warranty claims.

The parts available for the Subaru small engines are already becoming harder to find. I advise people to get rid of them while they can.

That’s too bad. We have a small generator with a Subaru engine on it and it’s been bulletproof so far. I don’t tend to see a lot of them around though.

I feel the same about the Subaru on my 27-ton Ariens splitter.

Buy your back-up parts now, while you can. Prices will only go up.

That’s a shame. They were keeping Honda honest by putting out great engines with real support behind them.
