The sun rose beautifully, by 8AM it was warm, near 70°F, and dry. I had some work to do on the boat, she's old and something needs to be done every spring. The boys took their bikes and rode into town to meet up with some friends. The boss was doing some gardening. Then, around noon, much earlier than expected, a front blew through. Temperatures plummeted into the 50s and the sky opened up. By the time I got my tools away and the boat secured I was drenched. Same with the wife and her gardening. The boys rode home in the rain. The house wasn't that cold but we all had the chills. Somebody said fire and nobody made any cracks about it already being June and the season was over. Put a few splits in and fired her off. Took the chill and dampness right out of our bones... Probably the first time we've had an indoor fire in June. KaptJaq
