Getting ready to get my new roof on Friday finally. I'm planning on raising my stove pipe another 3 foot after this is all said and done. But I want to set either a 3 or 4 point anchor system. Whats the best, I can have these of set up as they are doing this... Already talked to the roofer about this and they would do it. Any advise or pictures of your anchoring systems?

    Thanks in advance.

Can be as easy as flattening the ends of a piece of galvanized electrical conduit and attaching to the roof and then the pipe. The ends of the conduit can be drilled and bent after flattening; then screwed into the roof. The other end can be bent to match the plumb of the pipe and secured underneath a wrap around band (fashioned form galvanized sheet metal).

Something like this. It would just attach differently at both ends and you could also attach it to the pipe at any side/angle you need to.

Yea, saw them but not really what I was thinking.... since the stove pipe come right up my wall edge of the second story...plus I'm thinking lag bolts / carriage bolts / or eye bolts through the roof for the anchor point...

I was thinking of adding 2 foot to my chimney .
Some of the support kits go for 100 bucks , Menards has one for 40, I don't know anything about if there is a quality difference .

Here is a file I have , not much info but that's all I have:)

I didn’t install myself, but I believe it was clear silicon. 3 years, and no leaks so far.

I'd want a shingle over my nail/screw. I'd use something like what yooperdave posted, but I'd make a custom stainless steel bracket at the bottom. Use a piece of 1" x 1" stainless angle, like what they show in the pic, but have 'em turned perpendicular to how they show those in the pic, so you could slide the bottom angle up under a tab...then still seal the heck out of it! Worse case scenario, you might have to get someone to drill/weld a little mounting tab on it for going the other way like I'm talking about (unless you can weld it?)
    Make any sense?

Here's the chimney at the original height.

HDRock - that's pretty sweet video you found....Pretty much what yooperdave was going at this morning.... so I take it a two point hard connection is what is most commonly used then... interesting....

& mastix under the leg. Pin the leg base down when tightening so it stays flat doesn't twist into a ball.

Yeah that's what I have seen, I never put one on I was just thinking about adding some pipe and putting one on.
I clean my chimney from the top down so I was wondering how much of a hassle it would be to take that off so I can take the top two sections of Chimney off to sweep it.
As it is right now I just take off 3 foot piece of pipe and sweep the chimney
