    Hello

The US Stove King Ashley 5500 & 5500m
has a similar control panel as the US Stove 6041 multi fuel which was reported as having the same issue

This is the 5500 model with manufacturer date of 2005 and serial # 3117
The owner's manual does not show this mode. See attached manual below.

It has the newest control panel not the old panel with the 3 - A B C buttons and still does the cycling. Sometimes the cycling is much more noticeable than other times,

This vide shows the cycling or pulse mode. It is not as noticeable but if you listen carefully you can hear the sound of it turning get louder and softer. Also the speed changing is barely visible.

Therefore to stop the cycling you can put the control panel in manual mode and take the draft fan out of auto.

Depends on the revision number of the software installed in the control memory. The one I have in my house (2.1) does not do it. The one I have in my shop (2.3) does it. I ignore it. I believe USSC did it on later revisions as a firebox purge feature and it only does it on startup. Once the unit gets to operating temp, the cycling stops.

Both of mine are 4 button and both of mine are user programmable for all parameters (except the draft fan cycling when cold.). The newer revisions are also user programmable for corn only but you need the tech manual to do that. I have it in PDF format if you need it.

If you take the control pad out of 'Auto' and put it in manual, the draft fan will increase to maximum rpm and stay there which is ok so long as you don't have an outside air intake installed. I do on both of my units so both mine stay in 'Auto' all the time and both are on remote thermostats (millivolt) and the board jumper removed. The thermostat controls the firing rate on both of mine. When the T'Stat is satisified, the firing rate reverts to HR1 and when the T'Stat calls for heat, the stove advances to whatever HR setting I have set on the control pad.
