at my local TSC. Was returned because it wouldn't start. According to the tag, the saw got a new choke lever and now it is good to go. They have it marked down to $499.00. I am waiting for the manager that I know to come in before I try to get the price down. Has the 24" b/c and a scuff or two. What would you all try to get it for. No, free is not possible.

I don`t need this saw so if any of you all are interested I can make a deal with you???

Seems odd that all it needed was a choke lever :)

Agreed. Probably someone needed to cut some wood and returned it for their money.

I'm surprised you can return power equipment without major factory problems - but I've seen a few returns marked down at my local TSC. Cheers!

My Huskee splitter had an occasional issue where it wouldn't run without pumping the primer button, then it would straighten up and run fine for a couple of hours. I'd had it for a couple of months, and was there for something else one day and spoke to the manager about it. I was expecting it to go the shop under warranty, but he told me to bring it back and take a new one home

I'd probably do it if I had the cash on hand at the moment

Look over it real well if you buy it, who knows what Harry homeowner did to it before returning it. Some people don't know that 2cycle oil is different than whatever motor oil dregs they have laying around the garage

Pull the plug out and peek in the cylinder. If it's good give them the $400 and take it and use it.

I know where you can probably get a piston cheaper for the 576.
